![]() Which begs the question… how were the automatons awoken? I have a few theories, of course. Couldn’t have magical constructs running around after magic was outlawed, could we?Īt the very least, we can assume that the Wardens were actually deactivated rather than destroyed. But they were ordered to be destroyed over two hundred years ago due to the Vow Mandate. The Wardens were created to protect Banehelm’s secrets, which explains why they have so much weaponry built into them. Looks like Dustpool was contracted to actually build the machines. They’re called the Aegis Wardens, and they were created by Banehelm scholars centuries ago. Quincy Poisewax: We finally have a name and origin for our new automaton neighbors. Search for Automaton Workshop South of Dustpool Hold Let’s see if we can find just where these machines were once created. These tomes suggest that while Banehelm designed the automatons, they were built in Dustpool. Let’s see if we can find that research.Ĭollect 3 Automaton Research Tomes in Banehelm In fact, I do remember reading something about mechanical guardians. The automatons’ aesthetics remind me of Banehelm architecture. See just what these strange machines are up to. I need you to investigate those locations first. The automatons have taken over strongholds all throughout the Hollow Lands. Quincy Poisewax: A magical workshop, under our noses this whole time! This must be where the automatons were first built. Quincy Poisewax: This is it! The Aegis Wardens … Looks like they were created by Banehelm scholars centuries ago. But who created them? Where do they come from? We need to find out. Quincy Poisewax: These automatons are magical constructs, I’m certain of that. Oh, and try not to get disrupted whilst you’re at it, okay? Investigate these automatons and report back your findings. We have no idea exactly what they are, where they came from, and why they’re invading. They seem to be, well, invading might be the best term? Securing old ruins, stockpiling artifacts, attacking any who come near. Automatons, of course, being humanoid, magical, metal constructs. However, our Order has had some troubling reports of automatons in the Hollow Lands. Slower than we’d hoped, but that’s research for you. The Spellstorm, the Fracture, how it all started and how we can, by the Goddess, stop it one day. The Order of Vowbreakers has been busy researching all of your findings these past few months. You remember your old friend Quincy, don’t you? Resident magic expert and all that. Teleport could be a bit quicker to cast and maybe a slight reduction to its cooldown.Īnother QoL thing that should be added back into the game is the ability to drop any and all items from one's inventory as well as being able to swap gauntlets w/o having to bring up the settings menu to do it (which is a pita if you are in a fight.).Current Chapter Story Quests Act 1: Strange Machines The original set of talents (scav in particular) would be nice to see again as the current set are pretty meh in comparison. I'd like to see them bring back Crouch and keep Dodge as the former had its uses outside of being a teabagging asshole. It would be nice to have an option to disable the animations for both the sky trails and levitation (people who want them can use them, I personally hate having them). A good number of the cosmetic sky trails or w/e they are called when you first drop are buggy as fuck and flicker like crazy (epilepsy warning much?). ![]() Its been about a year since the launch on Epic and they still haven't fixed PC keybinds and iirc controller folk still can't rebind their buttons (idr which console has this issue but it was brought up again recently). The mode itself was great with the exception of those two details as the looting phase (first 5~10 minutes) felt like a massive waste of time and there was always little to no healing (outside of Scav + Recovery). If they're going to release new content it needs to include a new mode like Capture the Flag or an updated version of Clash (with full gear loadouts & more healing items that spawn in / drop from exiled players). There's a lot of folks who would play the game but can't because it runs like crap for them and didn't in the past. Optimizations and Bug Fixes > Everything Else.
